These bonuses are already included in the racial units, but they are not included for class units. For other bonuses for cities and terrain see each of the race pages. Below is a table with all of the bonuses that apply only to units. Note: Most links go to the same page for now Racial Bonuses Įach race gets different bonuses that apply to their units. Below are links to the main pages for each race. This also carries over to the class specific units which leads to very different styles among different race and class combinations. Racial differences in the game are represented by various effects with elemental resistances and base statistic differences being the most common. Besides the races that you can choose to lead from the beginning of each game there are other minor races who live in dwellings instead of cities, they are different from your own troops and do not have any leader class specific units but make up for that by being more powerful and flexible than normal rank and file troops. Might be a different story for some of their older titles and the Grand Strategy bunch, I wouldn't know how much or little is involved in all those DLC packs. There are many races of creatures in Age of Wonders 3, from the stalwart dwarves to the careful goblins to the industrious humans. That said, I'm only playing Stellaris, AoW, and PoE - all of those seemed plenty good when they came out and I didn't feel cheated by the DLC when it eventually appeared. Even for triple A games that are heavily multiplayer reliant (so you wanna be in there when it comes out), waiting is often the better option, but for long-term projects like Paradox games you really have no reason to hurry if you don't think what's in the deal is worth full retail. In every other business you either pay premium for new stuff when it is fresh off the press or you wait until the prices sink enough to be a better deal. Never understood why people feel they're entitled to getting fresh new stuff for bargain bin prices where that is concerned. Paradox also offers sales of almost any older piece of DLC to a game whenever they bring out new DLC for it (and for other sales periods in general), so if any one piece of DLC seems like a bad value for money transaction, you can just wait and buy it heavily discounted later.
